Insomnia
Mark V. Zeising Books, 1994

Dustjacket

Slipcase

Traycase

This book has some really nice illustrations by Phil Hale, famous for his art in The Drawing Of The Three (both versions) and they are very nice and cool. The gift edition is slipcased, and the limited edition has a traycase. 1,250 limited copies and 3,750 gift copies is out there somewhere...
Umney's Last Case
Penguin, 1995

Penguin released this VERY tiny book when they celebrated their 60th year in the business. It's not really a limited edition, but certainly out of print!

Note: Like My Pretty Pony, Dolan's Cadillac and Umney's Last Case can also be found in Nightmares & Dreamscapes.

British edition
Desperation
Donald M. Grant, 1996

For once I think that the gift edition of this Stephen King book looks more appealing than the somewhat boring limited edition. Or wouldn't you like to have that dustjacket with the charming, smiling, leathal and dying Collie Entragian wrapped around your copy? The limited/signed book has no dustjacket, but on the other hand, it has a traycase. Stalemate! The signed and numbered edition is limited to 2,000 copies, while the gift edition is printed in 4,000 copies.

As you know by now, a book published by Donald M. Grant guarantees quality - and illustrations. This fine piece of litterature is illustrated by Don Maitz, cool stuff indeed, and you can view some illustrations here! I just wish that I could display some more illustrations, but that unfortunately impossible since I don't want to bend my book to be able to scan the images. I also wish that we could get some good news about the movie aswell...

Fake toy box

Book
The Regulators
Dutton, 1996

Like it's evil twin, The Regulators was released in a limited edition aswell. The book, spawned in the heart of the unformed, was "boxed" in fake Motokops 2000 toy box and limited to 500 copies. The lettered (52 copies) version had bullets in the binding (?). Both books were "signed" with checks from Richard Bachman to some persons and companies, VERY familiar to King/Bachman fans. See one of the checks here...
